The complex is situated in the posh locality of Gomti Nagar, Lucknow which is the largest planned residential colony in India. At present the extensive complex has three main focal points. The first is the “Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Smarak’’, the lotus like form of which lies at the heart of the complex and has a plinth area of 27004 sq. Metres. The second is the twin stupas of the Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Samajik Parivartan Sangrahalaya with a plinth area of 11008 sq. Metres. The third is the expansive space of the Samajik Parivartan gallery which is spread over an area of 16260 sq.m. The “Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Samajik Parivartan Sthal with its entrance plazas, expansive forecourt, monumental elephant gallery, the Buddha Sthal, the iconic Samta Mulak Sthambha and bronze fountains, has a built up area of 29417 sq. Metres, the remainder consists of expansive open spaces which add to the splendour of the monuments. Besides, the chunar stone boundary wall, the paths, the landscape elements and the extensive illumination add vastly to the ambiance & beauty of the complex.
